Topic:

Using FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) to Define Data Quality Standards

Abstract:

FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) is one of the tools used in Lean Sigma for continuous improvement. It has been used successfully to define data quality standards applicable to Equipment master data in Shell Shared Services Asia in Manila, who were runners up in the DQ Asia Pacific Award 2012.

Aijay Lamela, Team Manager for Technical Assets data, explains what FMEA is and how it was used to define data quality standards.
