Certification Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for IQCP certification, candidates must meet all the following educational and professional experience requirements:

1. Information Quality qualifications

Applicants must hold complete the IQCP exam to demonstrate knowledge of the six domains in the IQ International Body of Knowledge.

Compliance to the experience and education requirements will be assessed through the application and audit processes. If you do not satisfy the eligibility criteria, your application for certification will be declined.

2. General education and professional experience

Using terminology of the United States, British and Australian educational systems:

  • A bachelor’s (or equivalent) or higher degree and at least three (3) years of information/data quality related work experience, including 4,500 hours performing, leading or directing information/data quality activities within the domains of the IQ International Body of Knowledge.
    OR
  • A high school diploma (or equivalent), or any degree less than a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and at least five (5) years of information/data quality related work experience, including 7,500 hours performing, leading or directing information/data quality activities within the domains of the IQ International Body of Knowledge,

The three and five years of experience do not have to be continuous, but must have been accrued within the last five consecutive years prior to the application submission date. Equivalent degrees and diplomas from institutions in other countries are equally acceptable.

Compliance to the experience and education requirements will be assessed through the application and audit processes. If you do not satisfy the eligibility criteria, your application for certification will be declined and you will not be able to sit for the exam.

3. Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct

Applicants must agree to follow the IQ International Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
