IDQ Webinars: with Alexander Borek

Topic:

Incorporating Risk Management into Information Quality Management

Abstract:

Can a consideration of information risks lead to more effective information quality management? Most practitioners acknowledge information as an important resource in every organization and also agree that the level of information quality is a key determinant for the success of information usage and organizational performance

But poor information quality does not always mean same damaging business impact every time. Some information can be of higher importance than others are and some information quality problem might have a bigger impact on the business than others do. Improving information quality without taking into account the inherent value and resulting risks - both positive and negative - can be an Odyssey with massive efforts but disappointing results. In this webinar, we discuss why and how risk management methods should be applied to information quality management to manage information quality more effectively and increase alignment with business process and results.
